The boat has been to the local boatyard each winter to have the usual hull maintenance such as anode renewal, old anti-fouling remouved and two new coats applied. The propellor shaft and rudder are inspected as are all the seacocks. The hull has been examined over the years and on two occasions some ten years apart the hull has been taken down to the bare fiberglass and a preventitive treatment applied to ensure future freedom from osmosis. only the finest of materials offering a ten year warranty were used by fully qualified technicians and where possible uner the supervision of a qualified surveyor. Similarly any cosmetic damage made good and repainted as a matter of urgency.
The engine whilst still the original has been serviced annually and is subject to more frequent than necessary changes of oil and filters to ensure trouble free running. A complete rebuild was instructed in Dubrovnik by the appointed Perkins Main deler in ACI marina who removed the complete engine from the boat over the winter to his shorebased workshop and replaced any and all parts there were worn. A Perkins factory official ensured that only O.E.M. were used. The rebuild cost Euro 4000 approximately.
