A New Concept in Sailing

The sophisticated rig, the 45 sq.ft. spinaker - that can pull you downwind faster than you think is really wise - tells you she is a real yacht. A proper racing boat, combining the classic look of a 12 metre, with the handling and sailing qualities of a superb racing machine. She manoeuvres slowly enough to allow match racing tactics to develop as they do in full size 12 metres.
Illusion is safe as she has four buoyancy compartments and a bilge pump.
Agility is of no consequence. The skipper lies along the top of the keel, feet resting on the steering-bar, both hands free to control the sails. Sheets, guys, jib furling and other sail controls are conventional.
